Infrastructures - "Nrneni" Multifunctional Center

MULTIFUNCTIONAL CENTER FOR SOCIAL SERVICES
NRNENI

A four-storey newly built facility called Nrneni is situated in the Kanaker-Zeytun community in Yerevan. It is a multifunctional center that introduces an entirely new model of social-service provision in Armenia - a model of social housing with supportive environment.
The center responds to social and healthcare needs of the vulnerable elderly, including both citizens of Armenia and refugees.
The center also offers accommodation where together with older persons there will reside foster-families for helping the elderly meet their everyday needs.

The building is composed of two separate yet interconnected facilities:
  • A Social-Healthcare Center for provision of social, healthcare and various household services. The Center will have a social room, health post, bathroom, laundry, hairdressing saloon, leisure room and a gym (floors 1 and 2) 
  • A Housing Complex comprising 30 apartment units - 28 apartments for the elderly and 2 apartments, one on each floor, for socially vulnerable two young families with many children (floors 3 and 4)
