Warm Hearth - FIRST long-term group home for orphaned individuals with disabilities

Target Geography:
Yerevan
Beneficiaries:
8 young adults with physical and mental disabilities
Activities:
-
long-term and complete rehabilitation care,
-
ensuring of leisure time and occupation of beneficiaries,
-
encouraging individuals requiring special needs to become full members of the Society
Program motivation:
-
To prevent the orphaned adults with mental illness or disabilities being forced to spend their lives in the psychiatric institutions of Armenia, which are unable to meet their needs and where there is no hope for individualized care, rehabilitation and quality of life.

To initiate a movement towards privatized and community-based mental
health care in projects for the benefit of the population with mental illness
and/or disabilities.
