| Feedback of Mission Armenia Beneficiaries |
This is the second year that I am involved in your organization. I can hardly
find words to express my gratefulness to you. When I was unable to come and take
my meal by myself, you helped me and brought it to me. When I had a car accident
and broke my leg I was taken to your Health Recovery Center where I spent 15
days. I had a very pleasant time with the working staff and my peers there. I
had never received such care from anyone else before. May God bless you for the
work you do…

Dear Mission Armenia staff,
We, older persons, are thankful to you for the cherished work you do. Those
several hours that we spend at the Community Center make our days interesting
and useful. We get away from our difficult living conditions, troubles and
isolation. We have become like relatives to the Center’s staff and love them
like our children. We do respect and appreciate the work you do…
Margo Avetisyan,

Please accept my cordial and sincere wishes for the entire staff of your
organization. I consider each of your employees as my relatives, though even
relatives sometimes cannot be as good as they are. I am so much affected by your
organization that I can hardly imagine my life without them. I am blind, and the
light of my eyes has faded for ever, but your employees bring light to my eyes
and soul.

Dear Hripsime,
The whole population in Sissian is delighted with your kind and caring attitude
and much-valued work. The mission you fulfill comes to the rescue of abandoned
and neglected elderly like us.
We are abandoned and ignored by all, some of us hardly make both ends meet and
survive by either benefit or pension. But, suddenly luck smiled on us, a door of
salvation was opened up for us filling our hearts with hope to continue to live
and struggle. Again, we felt ourselves like normal human beings.
Because of Mission Armenia employees our hearts, hearts of lonely people, are
consoled.
You are all doing your best. We bow down before your sacred job and ideas. Your
caring attitude towards us is beyond description.
Dear Hripsime, we hope that this support of yours which means salvation to us
will last until our sunset and give us peace in our later years.
Respectfully,
Berzhik Arakelyan

“…We were informed that we would be taken to Moughni Village in Astharak
region to see the 17th century church. But there was a wonderful surprise
waiting for us, first we were led to Oshakan village to see Mesrop Mashtots’s
tomb, then to Ohanavank and afterwards to Holy Mother church and in the end we
were taken to Moughni. We very much enjoyed seeing those magnificent
architectural monuments of Armenia.
The group consisted of 12 people. We travelled in a cozy car with a very nice
and warm social worker and driver, which raised our moods, and soon we made
friends with each other.. As the social worker was presenting all the historical
data to us, it seemed we had penetrated the depth of past centuries.
At the end of the tour, the clergyman came and told us about St. George church
and answered all our questions with great pleasure.
After, we had a picnic. Though it was very hot, we did not feel the heat while
we were enjoying cool beverages, watermelon, and of course, delicious coffee. We
returned home in joyful spirits keeping the fantastic memory of that beautiful
day in our hearts.
We extend our gratefulness to those who had organized that event.
May such kind intentions always be realized.
With best wishes,

Recently Mission Armenia's construction and renovation brigade renovated most
of my apartment. They worked very well. Their work, which was done neatly,
promptly and selflessly, was of the highest quality.
Thanks to the donors and to all who worked in my apartment during those days.
I'm very pleased with the work. My life, which seemed dead before, gained new
light.
I came to realize that not everything is lost. While the work you do is new in
the social sphere, it is timely and necessary.
Glory and praise to you for the unselfish work you do, and your philanthropic
assistance to those like me. Let God bless you and the work you do.

To help me in my difficult state and old age, in this cold winter the
renovators did a lot of work in my apartment with your support. They replaced
the broken window glasses with new ones, installed a handle on the door so that
it could open and close, changed the water pipes, and installed water faucets in
the kitchen and the bathroom.
The work was done with great care and perfectly. I am very thankful and
contented.
I wish all of you good health and success in the future.

I am a second-degree invalid, a former Russian language teacher having worked
at school for 15 years. Since May 2004 I have attended the soup kitchen of
Mission Armenia at Avan Community. I want to note the kind attention of the soup
kitchen managers and staff. Every time I go there I know that I will be served a
tasty meal. I also want to mention about the discipline and thoroughness that
prevail at the soup kitchen.
The Sissian Community Center staff treats each of us with care. The social
workers talk to us very nicely; they try to regulate various issues relating to
our pension, benefits, various documents etc; they organize interesting events.
The doctor and nurse care for our health state. They pay timely visits and
provide medications.
I have made many new friends there. Our day is very well organized at the soup
kitchen. We also read newspapers and books, play chess and checkers and often
participate in the various organized events. I am very thankful for your
existence in general and your attention to needy people. Many thanks to you.

Dear H. Kirakosyan,
I want to express my thankfulness to the employees of the Renovation
Department of your organization for renovating my apartment. They are so
conscientious that I feel inner pride that still there are such kind and
attentive people. I was even sometimes surprised at their patience and
willingness. Thanks again to all of them.

President of Mission Armenia
From a group of refugee older persons
Dear Ms. Kirakosyan,
We want to express our gratitude and thankfulness to you for your attention
toward us.
The frequent charities of your organization, including both the meals and the
other types of assistance, ease our difficult social state. We are very
satisfied with your work. We wish success to your organization and ask you to
keep us in the center of your attention. The approaching winter cold will bring
with it many difficulties.

To the President of Mission Armenia NGO
I would like to express my deep gratitude to Hripsime Kirakosyan, President
of Mission Armenia for the establishment of such a wonderful charity
organization which takes care of older persons, addresses their needs and, even
more, values them as an indispensable part of the society.
The Sissian Community Center staff treats each of us with care. The social
workers talk to us very nicely; they try to regulate various issues relating to
our pension, benefits, various documents etc; they organize interesting events.
The doctor and nurse attend to our health needs and well-being. They pay timely
visits and provide medications.
The soup kitchen staff cooks very tasty meals and serves us very politely. In
addition to the meals served at the soup kitchen we periodically receive dry
food – vegetable oil, flour, lentils, and raisins.
The organization also takes care of our home conditions. They repair our homes.
In my home they have carried out such activities as window glazing and lavatory
pan changing.
In short, this organization is a kind of a gift sent from Heaven to the single
elderly like me.

Dear Mrs. Kirakosyan,
We would like to inform you that we became aware of Mission Armenia because
of the soup kitchen that is operating in our town, which serves many of our
suffering citizens.
It is needless mentioning of the excellent catering, quality service, and
conscientious attitude found there. We assure you that no other organization has
rendered such philanthropy and extensive assistance to the needy populations in
our town.
The need for consulting is great in Kapan and to this end the specialist experts
you had sent fulfilled their mission brilliantly. The feedback is that many
people, namely women and girls would like to partake in this kind of initiative
too.
We express our appreciation for your attentions and ask you to continue the
operation of Mission Armenia in Kapan. Even little expansion of the activities
would make us grateful to you forever.
Respectfully from
Kapan town residents
I extend my gratitude to Mission Armenia NGO staff and donors for the
organization of MA activities, and especially for establishing a community
center in the city of Sissian addressed to the alleviation of vulnerable
people’s social-economic hardships.
For all the activities carried out, I would like to express my gratefulness
particularly to Hripsime Kirakosyan, President of MA, all the employees and the
donors.
In addition, I want to thank Hasmik Edagaryan, Manager of Sissian Community
Center and all the staff for the improvement of my domestic socio-economic
hardships.
Most of all, I would like to emphasize my care provider’s (Emma Avagyan)
conscientious and painstaking work.
Dear Hripsime Kirakosyan, thanks once again for your caring and considerate
employees in Sissian CC.
Best regards,
Zaven Sahakyan

We feel extreme difficulty in finding proper words to express our gratitude
to you for repairing our home. A complete renovation has been completed, which
we could not even dream about.
Mr. Poghosyan and Mr. Danielyan came to my home and made necessary examinations
and took measurements, discussed some issues and several days later, the work
began. The renovators carried out the work in a very professional, honest,
thoughtful and conscientious manner.
Mr. Poghosyan and Mr. Danielyan made regular calls and visits to me, and
carefully examined the work done. Sometimes they also participated in the
renovating and provided necessary materials and instruments. It is difficult to
describe all the activities performed—we are just amazed!
We are afraid of simplifying our feelings by speaking longer. While it may have
been just a project to be completed, the workers carried out their
responsibilities in the best possible manner, which deserves huge respect.
Everything was done with mutual agreement and understanding, in a peaceful
environment.
We want to once more say “thank you” to:
1. Yenok Poghosyan, the dedicated supervisor, provider, solver of problems, and
a firm and kind person;
2. Mr. Danielyan, the provider, supervisor, participant in renovation
activities, and a persistant and kind person;
3. Andrey, the electrician,
4. Vitya, the locksmith,
5. Harutyunyan, the carpenter,
6. Sergey, the plasterer and painter,
7. Valery, the painter and tiler,
8. And of course Hunan, the painter, who has become a little brother to us, a
wonderful, modest, and hard-working young man.
Our great thanks to the whole staff of Mission Armenia.
Dear Hripsime Kirakosyan,
Director of Charity MISSION ARMENIA
“I, Yevgenya Haroutyunyan, have had access to your charitable services for
many years. At the beginning, well knowing the weak points of human nature, I
did not believe that people willing to do good could be found. The years I have
lived, my work experience, and above all 30 years of solitude have made me
suspect so-called benefactors.
For 30 years, I have worked at the Republic Teachers Advanced Training Institute
as Head of the Art Department. I have been a Deputy, and have been awarded state
medals. I have visited all the cities and towns in the Republic.
After all these years full of enthusiasm and solitude at the same time, how
could I believe that there would be a charitable organization that could come to
your rescue and enable you to further continue your life, granting you a second
wind.
Thanks to your organization, thank you for creating such a good team–attentive
and well-intentioned to do good.
Haroutyunyan Yevgenya
“You feel you are not alone,
you have a supporter…”
To Ms. Hripsime Kirakosyan,
the President of Mission Armenia
I am a sick woman, isolated with a mountain of concerns
within my house. Once, my door suddenly opened and two people—MA employees—came
in and offered me their help. I received them with great pleasure, and... cried.
Cried tears of happiness that there are people willing to take care of those
like me—lonely, old and helpless...
I wish to extend my gratitude to the president of Mission Armenia as well as the
whole staff of the organization for their kind and scrupulous work. I say “thank
you” to those who have become my best relatives, who have filled my soul with
joy and brought me back to life again.
I also attend the soup kitchen of Mission Armenia, and it is a great help for
me. I thank the staff of the soup kitchen, especially Lena who brings my meals
to my home.
I am not alone any more. I am surrounded by my new relatives, and may they live
healthy long lives, may they be happy with their families, and may their path in
life always be green.
With true love,
Seda Ohanyan
Letter of Thanks
I am writing to extend my gratitude to Mission Armenia
charitable organization, and especially to the plasterers it sent to renovate my
apartment. They put their entire souls into their work. No crack or irregularity
was left there after their work. Moreover, the colors chosen for the ceilings
the plastering of the walls was done very skillfully and successfully.
The workers worked the whole day without rest and break.
I’m grateful for everything they have done. I wish them to be healthy and happy,
and to have success in their work and life.

Letter of Thanks
I am a 64-year-old lonely helpless woman suffering of
epilepsy since the age of nine. For many years I attended various soup kitchens,
but none of them has been as good as the one of Mission Armenia: it is perfectly
clean, the meals are very tasty, and the staff working there is very kind to the
attendees. The director of the soup kitchen is a very nice person; he helps the
disabled attendees to come in and out of the building. The servants are also
very scrupulous in their work. The cook’s meals are even tastier than those made
by my Mother when she was alive.
I thank all of them for their kind attitude toward us. They have become like
family members for us.
I am grateful also to the rest of the MA staff for all the assistance they
provide to us and for all of the parties and outings they organize for us. I
wish everyone followed their example.
Yours sincerely,
Rima Atomyan
Dear Hripsime,
They say the seeds of kindness rarely sprout, but their
fruit is really sweet. Yes, our family was in need of such seeds, and we are
extremely thankful to have received the fruit born of your organization’s seeds
of kindness and great efforts. Perhaps you are smiling reading these words, but
the value of the work you do is really immeasurable. We-my father Levon
Magdessian, first-degree invalid of the Patriotic War, my mother Voski Papyan,
an old-age pensioner, my sister Amalya Magdessian, first-degree invalid, and me,
a first–degree invalid, too-feel the results of the work you do.
We are grateful to you, Ms. Hripsime, and your organization’s working staff. You
have not been mistaken in choosing them to carry out your mission. We are
grateful to them for their kindness to us. They ease our pain and cure our
wounds through their thoughtful attitude towards us.
I heartily wish you success and happiness. I wish there were many others like
you. If so, there would be less pain, worries, and hardships in the world.
With love and best regards,
Lyudmila Magdessian
When making his first step to the large stage
of the Armenian literature, the famous writer Hovhannes Shiraz wrote:
I am young,
And my horse is young,
I will climb mountains,
Mountains, stones and rocks!!!
Truly, the great writer found his place in life, overcoming
all the difficulties standing before him, since he was not only talented but
also young.
Of course I am not as lucky compared with the poet, but I was as young,
enthusiastic, strong and full of life as he was.
Having an optimistic attitude about life and an indescribable amount of energy,
I thought I would always remain as such and not become old. But, in spite of my
expectations, nature dictates its own will.
I, who was in love with life when young, didn’t realize how my youth passed, and
I suddenly reached old age with all its hardships. Getting older, I also
suffered loneliness: I became a lonely, disabled and helpless woman, missing
people’s care and support.
Suddenly, one day, to my surprise, the door opened and some people came in with
the aim of helping me, which made me both amazed and happy. Their kind attitude
and friendly talk made me extremely grateful to them. After seeing them off I
finally felt released of the hopelessness and gloomy thoughts that had been
following me before.
Summing up all the impressions that I had got I realized that I am not alone any
more. I am surrounded by people who care about me and support me; people who are
ready to spread seeds of kindness that grow and radiate vast amounts of love,
solicitude and respect for mankind.
These kinds of people work at the Gyumri branch of the NGO Mission Armenia. I
want to extend my true gratefulness to the organization’s management for the
kind and humane work they do.
I want to thank Maria Poghosyan and Marine Harutyunyan, the organization’s
doctors, as well as Gohar, the care-provider. They do their work with great
conscientiousness and a feeling of responsibility. They visit me on time,
provide medication, attentively listen to me, and alleviate my pain even just by
talking to me.
I particularly want to mention Gohar’s work as a care provider. As we know,
every person has his/her own character with the strengths and weaknesses
peculiar to it. Naturally, Gohar has her own peculiarities, but since the day I
met her, I haven’t noticed anything bad in her. Even if I am in a bad mood, she
makes me happy by visiting me, because of her smiling eyes and cheerful talk. I
also highly appreciate the work she does.
Knowing Gohar and getting closer to her day by day, I feel like I have found my
long-lost daughter.
Many thanks to the whole staff of Mission Armenia as well—people, who are so
respectful and polite to me when answering my phone calls.
I am especially impressed by the visit of Mr. Robert, the representative of
Mission Armenia Australia branch, Mr. Rafik, Director of Mission Armenia’s
commuity center in Gyumri, Seda Shahbazyan, social worker, and Hovhannes
Stepanyan, Director of Social work at Mission Armenia’s Gyumri branch.
Kind people, may my maternal blessings accompany you through all your life.
Hasmik Minasyan
...On April
23, 1985 I met with an accident and suffered a heavy injury to my right leg
nerve. Thirteen years after the initial injury, on February 19, 1998, I fell on
the ice and broke my leg for the second time. After five bedridden years the
physician advised to go out and try to walk. I could hardly move, even with the
help of walking stick, when Sophya and Edik came up to me and asked: "Are you
alone? Haven't you got anyone to help you? How have you come out of home in that
state?" Hardly keeping my tears in, I said: "As you see". And at that moment I
noticed a ray of hope that had faded but had not yet died away.
They helped me reach home and so, I obtained true-hearted friends in them. This
was in June, 1998.
...I am thankful for the kind work you perform, I am thankful for you knocking
at my door and asking about my health. There is a proverb: "He who asks you, he
cures you". Thank you very much to all of you.
Hripsime Martirosyan
...I am
telling you the reality, which is like a legend...
Wandering lonely in numerous anxieties,
Isolated, hopeless and feeble,
Thought it was an illusion,
When my door was once knocked on:
"Who is the stranger remembering me?" I wondered,
"Perhaps you have come to the wrong address?"
"No" was the insisting answer...
Just then I realized the light coming out of the darkness,
The light directed to my house, and finally
The light that was promising hope to my soul.
